Here’s who remains and their last pick….
Jacob: Texas A&M
Mark Stackow: Maryland
Bret Keyes: Syracuse
Brian Murphy: Maryland
Kent Brown: Oregon
AIR: Notre Dame
Sean Sullivan: Maryland
Andy Roberts: Maryland
Jordan B.: Maryland
JW: Villanova
Tonight’s Games:
Miami-Nova
A&M-Oklahoma
Maryland-Kansas
Duke-Oregon
I’ve already taken Miami, Villanova, Duke and Oregon, so my selections are rather limited. And this may be a mistake, but I’m not ready to take Kansas yet. So I only have one game from which to choose, and I’m going with Buddy Hield and Oklahoma.
My focus this week has been on Miami and Villanova. I know nearly nothing about either teams, other than I usually scoff at the idea of ‘Nova ever beating a relevant team in March. Give me Larranaga and the senior leadership down south: Miami.
I choose Oklahoma
Copying from the earlier post. My pick is Oklahoma.
John, I love when you venture into Get-Off-My-Lawn-Ville. (Can the phrase “get off my lawn” be applied to New Yorkers? Maybe “don’t pee on my stoop.”)
The percentage likelihood of Golden State winning 72 games is much more quantifiable than you think, but the bigger point is this – the fact that ESPN and others provide watchers with analytics and advance stats and probabilities shouldn’t detract from your personal enjoyment of the game. If you like watching the Warriors because you like the history of it or the unquantifiable beauty of how they play, great! But for others, it adds to their appreciation of the accomplishment. Ignore if you want, but don’t criticize the fact that it exists.
March 24: Oregon
I’ve already used Duke, Villanova, Iowa State & Syracuse.
Taking Oregon today.
March 24 pick: Oregon
Give me Buddy and Oklahoma.
Don’t ask me, I’m still laughing at the cat story.
Missed the start of early games, so I have to pick from late ones. Since I used Duke and Maryland and I need to save Kansas, guess it’s Oregon for me.
